Rosie Birkett is a London-based freelance journalist who specialises in food and drink and travel. As a deputy editor and food reviewer at Leeds' version of Time Out, Rosie ate her way around the city and gained several punds which she's never managed to lose. At Caterer and Hotel Keeper in London she interviewed chefs Angela Hartnett, Tom Ilic and Eric Chavot, and was lucky enough to eat at a three-Michelin-starred restaurant in Marseilles with chef Chris Galvin, and sample Helen Darroze at The Connaught.
Never one to turn down a challenge, she's fully embracing the recession by going freelance and attempting to pedal her foodie thoughts to anyone who'll pay her. Working from home does, however, cause one major problem due to her constant proximity to the kitchen - she's always cooking.
